Canadian vlogger Kyle Douglas Jennermann, popularly known as “Kulas”, has now officially become a Filipino. This after the Senate approved on third and final reading yesterday, May 29, 2023, House Bill No. 7185 granting him Filipino citizenship. All that is left is the signature of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for him to become a naturalized Filipino.
HB 7185 was sponsored by Sen. Francis “Tol” Tolentino and co-sponsored by Senate President Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri, Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva and Senators Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa and Sonny Angara.
The 35-year old Jennermann first came to the Philippines in 2013 and made Cagayan de Oro his hom. His YouTube channel, BecomingFilipino, is dedicated to featuring the country’s natural beauty and promote the country’s culture. This has inspired both foreigners and locals alike to travel and see the country’s stunning natural wonders and expose himself to cultures across the country.
