Construction of Balingoan Community College in Mantangale, Balingoan, Misamis Oriental, the first ever in the municipality will soon start following the recent groundbreaking ceremony of the P40 million building project that aims to provide quality education to the youth in the municipality and neighboring areas. The project is expected to be completed in January 2024.

The project, funded by the national government, through the initiative and efforts of Cong. Christian S. Unabia is expected to benefit thousands of students in the district and provide them with access to affordable and quality education.
In attendance during the event last May 9, 2023 were Governor Peter M. Unabia, Congressman Christian S. Unabia, Balingoan Municipal Mayor Hon. Aaron Paul S. Unabia, Talisayan Municipal Mayor Hon. Rico Taray, DPWH representatives, local officials and other prominent individuals.
