The Municipality of Kauswagan in Lanao del Norte is in the thick of preparations for the biggest international event for sustainable farming and organic agriculture when it hosts the 6th Organic Asia Congress on June 4-10, 2023.
The Organic Asia Congress (OAC) brings forth the local governments and the organic sector together in different countries in Asia to discuss the major trends in organic agriculture and to discuss ways to move the sector forward. It is one of the biggest organic events in the world, with hundreds of foreign experts, researchers, scientists, stakeholders and like-minded organizations gather in a week-long event.
Just recently, the Department of Tourism in Region X conducted a Tourist Guiding Simulations for the selected tourist guides for the upcoming event. The Tour Guiding Simulations started from Laguindingan Airport up to Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte.
Earlier this year executives of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement (IFOAM) visited Kauswagan to inspect the site of the upcoming event.
