FIVE people were killed while scores were injured after a Rural Transit bus bound for Iligan collided head-on with a Cagayan de Oro-bound Fish Truck along the National Highway in Burnay, Gitagum, Misamis Oriental at dawn Thursday, March 30, 2023. Among the dead were the drivers of the 2 involved vehicles and 3 bus passengers. The victims were immediately brought to various hospitals. The accident caused dozens of fish crates to spill into the highway causing heavy traffic. Accident investigation is still ongoing.
