A court in Cagayan de Oro City has convicted five former policemen behind the kidnapping of Enrique “Eking” Fernandez III last October 23, 2016. Judge Ana Candida Casino of RTC Branch 17 meted out Reclusion Perpetua sentences to Police Senior Inspector Ereneo Ramirez, SP02 Jojo Lim, SP02 Alaindelon Tacubao, PO2 Sangkulan Hussien II and P02 Alejandro Ubanan for the crime of kidnapping. All five were seen in the CCTV footage outside Uptown Condotel abducting the victim.
According to a post from iFM CDO, the accused were however acquitted on the charge of carnapping. Meanwhile, two alleged kidnapping accomplices, Federico Guevarra and Rolando Udasco, were acquitted due to reasonable doubt. Photos in the link below.
