Olympic silver medallist Carlo Paalam has received a Major Award for Boxing during the Philippine Sportswriters Assn Awards Night held tonight, March 6, 2023 at the Diamond Hotel in Manila. Paalam was given the award for his gold medal winning performance in the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championship in Amman, Jordan where he beat Kazakshtan’s Makhmud Sabyrkhan on his way to the gold to solidify his case as among the world’s best. Congratulations!
Paalam was not able to attend the awarding ceremony tonight but an executive of PSA accepted the award on his behalf.
