Here’s the video showing several gunmen in full battle gear entering the compound of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo in Pamplona town and strafed the area killing the governor who was attending to 4Ps beneficiaries and several others. Three suspects, all former soldiers believed to be guns-for-hire were arrested in a hot pursuit operation. Watch below.
Authorities identified the arrested suspects as former Philippine Army soldiers Joric G Labrador, 50, from Cagayan de Oro City; Joven C Aber Calibjo, 42, from Barangay Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental; and Benjie B Rodriguez, 45, from Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental. These former soldiers were all trained in close-quarters battle (CQB) and combat experienced. Accordingly, all three were dishonorably discharged from the service for Absence Without Leave (AWOL) and drug charges.



They were arrested in Sitio Punong, Barangay Cansumalig, Bayawan at around 4:20pm yesterday, March 4, 2023. A joint hot-pursuit operation by Bayawan Police Station together with the the Philippine Army and Special Action Force resulted in the arrest of the three.





The 3 getaway vehicles namely, one Mitsubishi Pajero with plate number NQZ 735, one Izuzu Pick-Up with plate number GRY 162 and one Mitsubishi Montero with plate number YAP 163 were found abandoned in Brgy Kansumalig, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental. Several weapons and tactical gear believed to be used in the crime were recovered by authorities.
