RANDOM SHOTS: The Mansion – new restaurant serving Franco-Italian-Filipino cuisine to open February 10

Have you dined in a mansion before? Or are you looking for a new dining place for your Valentine date? THE MANSION CAFE & RESTAURANT located along JV Seriña Street near Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish Church in Carmen could just be the answer. Serving Franco-Italian-Filipino cuisine, the restaurant will finally open its doors to the public next Friday, February 10, 2023 at 8AM. The place also offers private function rooms and outdoor garden area for your special events like birthdays, weddings, product presentation, board meetings and even family gatherings. For inquiries and reservations, just contact 09162015880.

GETTING THERE. If you’re coming from Vamenta Boulevard, The Mansion is on the left side along JV Seriña Street just before Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish Church. See map below.


This is the entrance gate. You’ll quickly notice it when passing along JV Serina Street.

This is the main driveway and parking area.

The place is an old residential mansion with a modern design.

It has a small fountain feature at the front.

Much of the old mansion was retained in converting the place into a large dining place.

Seared Scallops wiht Lemon Butter – seared fresh sea scallops finished with lemon butter and herbs

3-Cheese Arancini – cheese risotto balls with marinara sauce

Oyster Sisig – fresh chopped oysters served sizzling on an iron plate with egg, onion, chili and calamansi


Antipasto Salad – roasted eggplant, zucchini and red bell pepper with fresh salad greens, olives, capers and feta cheese and fresh basil with balsamic vinaigrette

Salade Nicoise – seared rare General Santos tuna with fresh salad greens, soft boiled egg, roasted tomato, blanched French beans, olives and potato with an herb vinaigrette


Prawn Thermidor – butterflied prawns coated with a creamy thermidor sauce and parmesan cheese, then gratineed until golden brown

Poulet Roti – half-chicken marinated wit lemon, olive oil and herbs, roasted until brown, served with garlic roasted potatoes and a rich chicken jus

Buttermilk Fried Chicken – buttermilk-marinated and brined chicken, breaded and fried goldee brown, served with hand-cut French fries, black pepper gravy

Steak Frites – pan-roasted USDA ribeye with hand-cut French fries and a 9-hour beef demi-glace sauce (available with black pepper crust)

Fritto Misto – fresh prawns, squid, fish and clams lightly batter and fried crispy, served with roasted tomato aioli and lemon

Beef Rib Sinigang – bone-in beef rib simmered in a sour sampalok broth with French beans, roasted eggplant, radish and kangkong

Adobong Itik – Peking duck marinated and simmered in soy, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves and black peppercorns


Beef Ragu Tagliatelle – thin ribbon-shaped pasta in a slow simmered sauce of beef with tomato and herbs, finished with plenty of fresh grated parmesan

Seafood Arrabbiata with Squid Ink Orecchiette – small dome-shaped black pasta with prawns, clams and squid in a tightly spicy tomato sauce with fresh basil

Tartufo Maccheroni e Formaggi al Forno – the best macaroni and cheese you’ll ever try; handmade maccheroni noodles with a truffle-scented four cheese sauce, gratineed until golden brown on top

Creamy Chicken Piccata with Herb Butter Fettuccine – marinated chicken breast sauteed in brown butter, finished with capers, shallot, lemon and cream


Caramel Apple French Toast – Brioche bread soaked in vanilla custard and toasted, topped with caramelized apple and dark caramel sauce

Banana Walnut Waffles – crispy Belgian waffles topped with sliced banana, candied walnuts and brown sugar spice syrup

Smoky Tinapa Breakfast – crispy tinapa with garlic rice, fried egg, tomato salad and pinakurat

Croque Madame – French grilled cheese sandwich with chicken ham topped with bechamel and gratineed and fried egg, served with crispy potatoes

Corned Beef Frittata – house-cured corned beef with egg, potato and tomato

Bibingcrepe – rice flour crepes with coconut sauce, salted egg, grated coconut and cheese


All pizzas are made from slow-risen dough in a 500˚C oven to give the best flavor and texture

Quattro Formaggi – mozzarella, provolone, asiago and parmesan cheese, marinara sauce

Beef Salami – mozzarella, all-beef salami, marinara sauce and parmesan

White Pizza with Spinach & Garden Herbs – mozzarella, white sauce, spinach, herbs and parmesan

For your function needs, it has three private rooms each with capacities ranging from 18 to 70 pax. This one below called The Library is the smallest perfect for small group meetings and learning sessions.

This one below is the medium sized function room.

Meanwhile, the largest shown below can seat 70 people. But you can have a party at this room for a smaller group.

All function rooms have their own comfort rooms.

This section right beside the main dining area can also be converted into a function as well. This is where the food testing was held today.


It also has an al fresco dining area at the back.

Just beside it is the lawn suitable for garden weddings and parties.
