RANDOM SHOTS: Dead sea cow washes ashore in Bohol

A local fisherman has found a dead sea cow locally known as “dugong” in the waters off Baliaut, Baclayon, Bohol at around 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2023. The carcass had several wounds all over its body. However, the exact cause of the animal’s death was not yet determined. The sea cow had already started to decompose and emit a foul odor. Meanwhile, the local government unit of Baclayon has turned over the carcass to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and has started to look for a burial spot for the sea creature.
