2 flights to Zamboanga diverted to Laguindingan Airport due to flooded runway

Two Cebu Pacific flights 5J 851 (Manila- Zamboanga) and 5J 840 (Tawi-tawi-Zamboanga) were diverted to Laguindingan Airport in Misamis Oriental yesterday, January 11, 2023 after operations at the Zamboanga International Airport (ZIA) were suspended due to flooded runway. The cause of the flooding is heavy rains coupled with high tide. Landing and take off at ZIA were suspended due to inclement weather. Photo by ARFF chief via Cap Clint.

Based on the press release, despite the flooding, two aircrafts were still able to safely land in the airport—Cebu Pacific flights 5J 517 (from Davao) and 5J 851 (from Manila). As of 10:00 AM yesterday, landing and take off at ZIA have been suspended due to inclement weather.
