Numerous clients of Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) have reported unauthorized withdrawals from their bank accounts early today, January 4, 2023. The withdrawals were dated Janaury 3, 2023. BPI has so far issued an advisory regarding the issue and expect correction of the duplicate transactions within the day.
The advisory also stated that given the high volume of inquiries on its online banking channels, clients may experience intermittent access to its web and mobile app platforms.
