Cagayan de Oro’s Oro Rescue 911 Urban Search and Rescue team arrived safely yesterday, December 27, 2022 in Misamis Occidental to join relief efforts for the people affected by the flood. The team extended assistance in the form of “food and non-food” items and turned over the relief goods to the provincial government of MisOcc. Also, the team’s water tanker provided water supply to Barangay Talic and Barangay Palayan in Oroquieta City with assistance from the Oroquieta PNP for traffic, safety, and security of the personnel.

The team sent by the City Government of Cagayan de Oro is composed of 31 personnel coming from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD), City Information Office and City Engineering Office.

Of the 31, 12 will remain in MisOcc for 15 days including the water tanker to further provide water supply and other relief efforts to affected residents.
