Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy turned over seven brand new Toyota Hilux rescue vehicles to 7 of the city’s hinterland barangays today, December 28, 2022. The said vehicles will be used for quick response during disasters and for emergency services to the residents.
The simple turnover ceremony was held at the City Hall quadrangle with Mayor Klarex handing over the vehicles’ keys to representatives of the hinterland barangays of Tignapoloan, Tagpangi, Taglimao, Besigan, Pagalungan, Tuburan, and Tumpagon.
Nick Jabagat, head of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Department (CDRRMD), for his part, reminded the recipients to take care of the vehicles as well as utilize them, especially when extending their services to their constituents.
