The 290-meter, 62,070-ton vessel is reportedly carrying equipment and supplies for the upcoming Balikatan Exercise. Launched on June 25, 1998, the ship is named after William ‘Billy’ Seay, a U.S. Army sergeant who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroism during the Vietnam War.
