After years in hiding, Ploutos Coin founder Mark Steven Freeman was finally arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group–District Special Operations Unit (CIDG-DSOU) and Pasay City Police yesterday, March 10, at the basement parking of S. Maison Mall in Pasay City. Freeman, 37, is facing 19 arrest warrants from Regional Trial Courts in Cagayan de Oro and Zamboanga City, mostly for syndicated estafa, violations of the Securities Regulation Code, and large-scale swindling. He had a ₱400,000 reward under DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2023-185.
