The Municipality of Baungon in Bukidnon is set to soon unveil a new symbol of heritage and community pride as the Kauyagan cultural landmark nears completion. Its main feature—a large baungon fruit held by sculpted hands alongside figures of Lumads—is already in place, reflecting the town’s rich history and indigenous roots. Envisioned as a space that brings together culture, identity, and tradition, the project highlights Baungon’s commitment to preserving its heritage while developing attractions that support community development and sustainable tourism.
