Cobra rescuer Kyle Ian Tablon, known as “Cobra King,” has been laid to rest in Iligan City after his passing on February 9. A native of the city, he was a fourth-year veterinary student at Central Mindanao University (CMU) in Bukidnon and was known for rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife, especially venomous snakes like king cobras. He was admired for his courage and compassion, and tributes poured in from Wildlife Initiative Leadership & Development (WILD) which he co-founded, the CMU College of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Medical Students’ Association and the wildlife conservationist community. Authorities have not released the exact cause of his death and have asked the public to respect the family’s privacy and avoid speculation. His passing is a great loss to wildlife conservation, but his legacy continues to inspire.

Kyle was not just an ordinary student as tributes poured in following his passing.
