Five individuals died after a police patrol vehicle plunged into a ravine in Don Victoriano Chiongbian in Misamis Occidental at around 12:20 p.m. on February 13, 2026. Initial reports said the vehicle from the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) had come from Lake Duminagat and was bound for Peduan Falls while escorting organizers of Binibining Pilipinas when the driver lost control on a downhill stretch, causing the crash. Four police personnel of the 2nd PMFC and a provincial tourism employee were declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
The fatalities were identified as:

- Pat Neljie Marban – Talusan, Zamboanga Sibugay
- Pat Rudilyn Pacut – Don Victoriano, Mis.Occ
- Pat Louel Cordova – Bonifacio, Mis.Occ
- Kristine Fortich – Provincial Tourism Office of Oroquieta City
Those injured and brought to Ozamiz City are as follows:
