Cagayan de Oro’s Woman International Master Ruelle Canino clinched second place in the recently concluded Philippine National Women’s Chess Championship – The Battle of the Women’s Masters at the Auditorium Hall of Malolos City Hall in Bulacan. She finished the 15-round tournament with 10.5 points on seven wins, seven draws, and one loss. The strong showing also secured her a spot to represent the country once again in this year’s World Chess Olympiad in Uzbekistan. Congratulations.
