Tropical Storm Basyang submerges Camiguin Airport runway

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has announced the temporary closure of Runway 07/25 at Camiguin Airport after flooding from an overflowing nearby creek triggered by Tropical Storm Basyang submerged the area. The Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) took effect at 9:52 a.m. on February 6 and will remain in place until 4:00 p.m. on February 7. As a result, Cebu Pacific flights DG6695 and DG6696 were cancelled, affecting a total of 67 passengers.

CAAP has urged affected passengers to coordinate with their respective airlines for updates on flight schedules and to prioritize safety in their travel plans.
