The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region X has resumed construction of the 460-meter detour road near Overview Park along the Bukidnon–Davao City Road, with two of the four lanes already fully asphalted. The remaining lanes are set to receive their final asphalt layer, bringing the project to approximately 75 percent completion. The stretch was reopened to traffic on January 14, 2026.
The ongoing restoration is part of DPWH’s broader emergency engineering response, which includes the installation of slope protection systems, upgrades to drainage facilities, and the implementation of soil stabilization measures to help prevent further landslides along this geologically fragile mountain corridor.
