A 22-year-old woman from Cagayan de Oro was arrested in an entrapment operation for allegedly offering unauthorized dental services and posing as a licensed dentist online, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP). The suspect, known by the alias “Gemma,” was apprehended by the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 10 at around 8:10 p.m. on January 14, 2026, after authorities uncovered her involvement in illegal dental practices. She is expected to face charges under the Philippine Dental Act of 2007 and the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
