The Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team of Cagayan de Oro’s City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD) – Oro Rescue 911 successfully captured a large reticulated python found curled up in a tree inside Camella Homes Subdivision in Upper Balulang, on Tuesday night, September 2. A resident spotted the snake and immediately called for assistance. Authorities are reminding the public not to handle snakes or other dangerous animals on their own, but to call 911 so trained rescuers can safely respond.
