Students, faculty, and staff of Central Mindanao University (CMU) and the general public of Dologon, Maramag, Bukidnon can now safely cross Sayre Highway with the newly-inaugurated iconic pedestrian overpass near the campus on March 26. Costing P49 million, the PWD-friendly structure features long ramps and access for bicycles and e-bikes. Funded through the initiative of Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri and implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), it aims to address accidents involving students crossing the highway. Leading the milestone event were Senator Zubiri, his wife Audrey Tan-Zubiri, University President Dr. Rolito G. Eballe, and DPWH District Engineer Virginia Batocail.
