The Philippine Navy ship BRP Dagupan City (LS-551), along with 20 of its crew recently arrived at Iligan City carrying heavy equipment for the Philippine Army and Philippine Air Force. The visit, led by its Commanding Officer Jefferson Naval, was made following instructions from Rear Admiral Joe Anthony Orbe, the Philippine Fleet Commander who is from Iligan. Meanwhile, Iligan City Mayor Frederick Siao revealed plans to establish a maritime security hub at the seaport to accommodate the PNP Maritime, Philippine Coast Guard, and Philippine Navy, for enhanced city security.
