No overnight stay in all cemeteries, memorial parks from October 31 – November 2, 2024

The City Government of Cagayan de Oro has prohibited overnight stays in all public and private cemeteries and memorial parks from October 31 to November 2, 2024, in observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day. This directive follows Executive Order No. 429-2024, which outlines the guidelines and protocols to ensure the safety, orderliness, and smooth flow of visitors as families traditionally visit the graves of their departed loved ones. During this period, cemeteries and memorial parks will only be open to the public from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

The public is also advised to maintain cleanliness and respect within the cemetery grounds by avoiding the bringing of prohibited items, including firearms, bladed weapons, alcohol, and sound systems, to preserve the solemnity of the occasion. Smoking and vaping are likewise prohibited.
