The National Development Corp. (NDC), and the Investment & Capital Corporation of the Philippines (ICCP), held a signing ceremony today, October 19 at SEDA Centrio in Cagayan de Oro City boosting the city’s investment prospects as it moves up towards metropolitan status. In the pipeline for Pueblo de Oro, ICCP’s real estate arm, will be a luxurious condominium project, along with the 31-hectare Southridge mixed-use development, envisioned as a ‘Silicon Valley’-style hub located south of Hotel Koresco. Southridge will also feature the World Trade Center, positioning the city as a prime venue for global exhibitions.

NDC General Manager Antonilo Mauricio and ICCP Group Chairman Guillermo Luchangco led the signing ceremony along with Rommel Leuterio, Advisor to the Chairman of ICCP Group, Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando Uy and Pueblo de Oro President and Chief Operating Officer Rhoel Alberto Nolido.



In his message, NDC General Manager Antonilo Mauricio cited Cagayan de Oro’s growth and emerging status as the next metropolitan hub in the country, following Manila, Cebu and Davao.

NDC is the country’s leading state-owned enterprise investing in diverse industries, while ICCP is one of the leading independent licensed investment banking firms in the country.

Meanwhile, ICCP Chairman Guillermo Luchangco shared plans for Pueblo de Oro, which include a high-end condominium project and a 31-hectare ‘Silicon Valley’ -inspired development called Southridge, situated south of the golf course. Southridge will feature a mixed-use layout with clusters of 6-8 storey buildings, combining residential, office, commercial and retail spaces. There will also be lots only residential areas.

Southridge is also along the Pueblo – Laguindingan Mountain Diversion Road.

Shown below is a portion of Silicon Valley in San Jose, California, where headquarters of many of the world’s largest high-tech corporations are located.

The 31-hectare Southridge development will also feature the World Trade Center (WTC), spanning approximately 1.6-2 hectares. Designed to host international exhibitions and major events, the facility aims to position Cagayan de Oro on the global stage. There will be hotels outside the WTC.

The ICCP Group also owns World Trade Center Manila, a world-class exhibition center located in Pasay City.


In attendance during the signing ceremony are City Councilor George Goking, Oro Chamber President Engr. Avalyn Cahulogan, Pueblo de Oro VP and General Manager Chrysler Acebu, and NDC Assistant General Manager for Corporate Communications Leopoldo John Acot, former City Vice Mayor RFeineir among others.
