After “Pungko Pungko” comes “Barug Barug”; new beef pares overload eatery opens in CDO

Another eatery has opened in Cagayan de Oro City, serving the trending beef pares overload. “Barug Barug” is located at the corner of Vamenta Boulevard and Everlasting Street in Ilaya, Carmen, right across from Arbee’s Bakeshop. The name “Barug Barug” means “standing,” contrasting with the trending “Pungko Pungko,” which means to “sit” or “squat.” Eating while standing seems to be the norm in crowded places, especially during fiestas.
